Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 4 August 2026
This site is free to read and is intended to be funded by advertising and affiliate commissions rather than a subscription or paywall. This page explains, in plain terms, where that money is expected to come from, and is honest about what's actually live today versus what's still pending.
Amazon Associates — not yet active
PeperomiaObtusifolia.com intends to join the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. No Amazon affiliate links are live on this site yet. Once they are added, qualifying purchases made through them will earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and pages carrying those links will state: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases." This section will be updated to reflect that once it happens.
Display advertising: Mediavine — application pending
This site has applied to join the Mediavine Publisher Network for display advertising but has not yet been approved, so no Mediavine ads are running on this site at present. If and when that approval comes through and advertising goes live, Mediavine and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technology to serve ads and measure their performance, including ads based on your browsing interests. That would not cost you anything to view, and would not affect the accuracy or independence of the articles themselves. Details on how that advertising would use data are in the privacy policy, and this section will be updated once ads actually go live.
Pay-per-call and quote-request partners — not yet active
I have not yet applied to or signed up with any pay-per-call or "get a free quote" partners. In future, some pages may link to this type of third-party service — for example, where an article discusses hiring a plant-care, pest-control, or landscaping professional — and if I do, I may receive a referral fee from that partner when it results in a qualifying call or lead. That would not cost you anything beyond what you would otherwise pay that partner directly, and it would not determine which service I recommend. This section will be updated once any such partnership is actually in place.
How this affects what I write
Recommendations on this site are based on the research and sourcing described on the about page, not on which link happens to pay the most. I link to a specific product or service because it is relevant to the article, not because of the commission structure behind it. Where I'm uncertain whether something works as claimed, I say so in the article rather than recommend it anyway for the sake of a link.
